Medium-full red with a tinge of purple, the bouquet is spicy and quite complex, showing spot-on ripeness and some foresty dried-herb, undergrowth notes, oak neatly understated. A hint of mushroom. It's intense and quite powerful, with a long lingering aftertaste and soft, fine-grained tannins. A superbly turned-out pinot, drinking beautifully right now. - H.H.
